1990 Nissan 240SX Fastback
I am selling my beloved "S13" because I can no longer afford 2 project vehicles. This car was purchased with the intent of upgrading engine, suspension, wheels, brakes, interior & exterior cosmetics ect.
I bought it 1 1/2 years ago pretty much as is except with the front end damage, during the spring I managed to spin the car on the freeway during heavy rains and the car received some significant front end damage after hitting a k-rail. It wasn't too bad considering I drove the car to work and back home again with out issue I just couldn't turn the steering wheel at full lock because the pushed in fender was rubbing on the tire, the headlights were already popped up so I could still use them during my night commute, plus I didn't sustain any injury either. However after taking a good look I could see there was some frame damage, nothing that cannot be fixed, I just [now] don't have the time/means to support the additional cost it would take to make the car pretty again but right after the incident I had plans of getting it fixed. I need to get rid of it at this point, its been sitting for a long time because I have had a hard time dealing with the fact that I have to sell it and I have now decided to just put my desire to hoard project cars to the side and focus on one car at a time. The car means a lot to me and I will probably cry when it leaves but its for the best and if it can find a home that can take care of it and turn it into an awesome drift/road race/street car then I'll be happy.
Pro's:
-Nissan Skyline R32 front seats(they match the current interior perfect!)
-Ice cold WORKING Air Con
-UNCRACKED dash
-Engine still works great and starts well.
-new radiator
-overall good condition int/ext
-strut tower bar
-CD player(old but it works)
-hatch stays open when opened - "shocks" are still great!
Cons:
-cracked windshield(I'll tell you even though the guy I bought it off of surprised me with this one)
-front end damage including frame damage(but fixable)
-rear window tint needs to be replaced - coming off(old)
-Skyline R32 seats - driver has no "dial" to recline but it also has regular lever that does the same thing - just looks funny without it, seat does not move forward or backward because of the DIY custom "Skyline seat into 240sx" rails, but you could always re-do it yourself or sell the seats for a pretty penny. Passenger seat needs the "female" part of the seat belt - easy but I just never fixed it)
-needs new wheels, one of the utterly ugly wheels lip is bent
-the engine is old and original, has lots-o-miles, expect things to start breaking and need to be replaced. Old rubber/plastic is well.....old.
-antenna is broken off(But I have a brand new one just needs to be installed)
-Registration was due this month(Sept 2011) but it passed smog with flying colors last year!
I have PARTS - new & used! New hoses to replace ALL the old crappy ones that I forgot to do when I replaced the radiator, Godspeed IC + piping to support an SR20 swap, brand new NISMO fuel pump(cost me an arm & leg), motor mounts, used OEM hood to replace the current damaged one, brand new antenna, used pop headlight + assembly with motors and more!
