View Full Version : Odd KA-T issue. Start with stock ecu, not with enthalpy ecu

Set-up
550sti injectors
enthalpy tune
300zx n62 maf
built ka-t
Alright so, drove my car around on the tuned ecu i have, ran great, parked it, then the next day it wouldn't start.
The ecu was no longer grounding the EGI, so i had no signal to the maf
Had the ecu sent out and checked (all tests came back clear)
Martin socketed a new ecu so we could rule that out.
Got the tune back and the car still wouldn't start, but it does have maf signal.
However it will start with the stock ecu.But it idles very high (2k rpms) I checked the tps and its all good. IACV was recently cleaned, but pinching it off does not seem to affect idle at all. (i think i pinched the right hose, near the brake booster/fpr lines off the manifold)

(With stock ecu) I unplugged the maf, and didn't experience a change, but when i plugged it back in, it will idle at 1500rpms until it is rev'd then it goes to 2k rpms and stays there.

I'm at my wits end

Things checked/replaced
O2 sensor
TPS
Vacuum leaks(carb cleaner method)
Grounds
Injector seals/intake rubber o-ring
Fuel pressure
Played with dizzy, no luck.
Fuel pressure
MAF signal (and wiring for that matter)

is it starting and just not staying on or just cranks and cranks? (with the enthalpy ecu) have spark?

Won't start at all with enthalpy ecu (i've had it start up and stop running within 10 seconds like twice). I have injector pulse (seems weak). I'm going to check for spark today. I wanna say i had it, i'm confusing myself now being as i have tested so many things, so many times, i'm starting to forget whats what between ecu's
