ive only heard from word of mouth. havent researched it yet but if i do ill let you guys know. FROM WHAT IM TOLD is theyre getting shut down cuz no one is paying the taxes on sales and stuff. personally i wouldnt doubt it government is shady

I Googled this and the the latest link that came up pertain to this so called issue was dated 2010. As it stands Craigslist has not shut down its Adult personals section. Though you do have to click on a thing saying you are at least 18 years old.

There are no current news items about the issue. Which in the past was attempts by religious groups and whatnot to make Craigslist eliminate that part of their services.

They have not and OP is way behind the times. LOL

What you have here is called hearsay. Its called that because its unsubstantiated claims a person makes about something without any proof as to what they are saying.

The first thing you should have done before posting, is at least tried to Google it, before making a vague thread about it with no facts.

I only tell you this, because you would looked a lot brighter had you done that. Not so much trying to case on you or put you down, just pointing out how it makes you look.

S14DB did his research and came up with something today about Craigslist, but it pertains to lawsuit against ebay for alleged misconduct on Ebay's part and now possible misconduct on Craigslist's part.

None of which will cause Craigslist to shut down some or all of their services.

This sounds like a rumor.

Websites like Ebay, AutoTrader, & a high % of all forums where you can purchase from 3rd parties DON'T necessary have to pay taxes.

I'd don't believe the government would even have a case on CL if this were true. Its up to the individual seller to choose to charge taxes on sold goods.
