View Full Version : gauge cluster swap--analog to digital

hi guys i searched the forums and couldn't find anything to do with this. i have an 89 240 parts car with the digital gauges and HUD and i wanna put it in my 91, which has the analog gauges. is this possible? thanx for lookin.

yes, very possible. you need to swap the dohc tach into the sohc cluster, then just plug it in. from the 89 you need to cluster, the wiring harness right behind the cluster and all the hud stuff you want (swap dash or cut hole in 91 dash, just swap the dash, trust me its way easier)

Yep....what he said ^^^ and make sure you have the subharness that goes between the main dash harness and the digital cluster.

cutting the whole wouldnt be to hard considering the fact that if you look under the dash you can see the template to use when you cut it....

theres defenitly no template on the dash, im looking at it right now, theres nothing. theres a little indented box, but not the right shape or size...


the hole would be pretty complicated considering theres like an inside and outide hole, one hole all the way through, and then more hole only through the padding, so the projector has something to sit on.

just swap the dash.

i'm prolly just gonna swap the speedo cable for the digital cluster and skip the hud....the other dash isn't in great condition. i can do w/o the HUD for right now. i'll find out today

I nee just the wiring harness for
the HUD and digital gauge cluster, does anyone have one or know where I can get one?
