Hi guys,

Just to get a second opinion on this:

When pushing the throttle (wot) and taking off, the car produces a nice cloud of blue smoke and smells like oil. For the rest no signs of blue smoke (idle, cruisng, startup etc.).

Turbo: GT2871r .86 and it has shaftplay up/down and in/out.

Next thing is, it uses oil alot. From (H) to (L) whitin about 300ish miles.

Are these the correct sympthons of a bad turbo oil seal?

If it were a valvesteam, it would produce smoke all of the time right?

Input is very welcome before i have to take it all apart :-/

Grtz,
Daniel

Since you said the turbo has In/Out play, sounds like the turbo is done. You can double check it by pulling the turbo off, and checking inside the turbine housing. If oil is leaking thru, you'll have alot of gooey carbon deposit.

Also, I'd check the compressor side too, I bet you got oil spitting into your intercooler pipings.
