our question to u is...how much boost u runnin??
we could say the apex'i (off the top of my head) its about 450...u got 450 to drop...do u need all the features it has...u got space for it...wut will meet your needs???

I would understand calling him a boob if only he had been a dumbass about asking a LEGITIMATE QUESTION.
He asked if anyone had any input on what the "Best" boost controller was. Your post doesn't say dick about boost controllers. So just don't hit the reply button. Some of you people are so touchy about jumping on the noobs...
Anyway, if you don't care about a lot of adjustability and so forth, go with a manual controller. Cheap and they work, but you only have one boost setting, you have to get up and manually change it all the time.
Otherwise get a nice controller that has presets and tha allows you to adjust from the cockpit.
I recommend Blitz's SBC-iD series. :D
I have a Blitz D-SBC Spec-S... basic ebc. Works very well, I like it! :)
I cant speak from experience. But GREDDY PROFEC E-01 looks like something i would go for when my engine is ready.

I dont think so. I thought the profec B spec II was the latest profec b. They look nothing like eachother. unless im mistaken..can you send me a link of your boost controller with a picture?

I have the profec B spec II and it works pretty damned well. Once you actually get it set right it is easy to adjust.

Can't go wrong with either the Blitz controller mentioned or the Greddy profec b spec 2 or e-01.
I have the profec b II, all the above are awesome to the point of preference.....

there is no "best" boost controller for any specific motor. i sold my old profec B which worked perfect to get a new profec b 2 just cuz i wanted something different (had the other in 3 cars)
so far i like the B2 alot.

I went with a Hallman manual boost controller with the optional knob that goes inside the car for easy adjustment. However, I can't post a review becuase the motor install is not quite finished.
I'm hoping it works as good as they say, because it's cheap and easy to adjust.
I heard you get a lot of boost spikes with a manual boost controller but im not sure if that's true. Doesnt that have to do more with the wastegate?

I went with the home depot 3.95 special. holds steady as a rock at 10 psi and has never spiked (knock on wood). it was supposed to be temporary but I don't see a need to change it. it's really small and out of the way too.

MBC's are more likely to spike in colder weather due to the spring tension changing. Ive never seen one that didnt spike at least ~1psi.
cant beat them for price though. a good ball/spring MBC can be made for about $5.

I'm using a bleeder valve, ie no ball or spring, and again, no spiking

Bleeder valve is one way to do it manually and not spike, but most people dont use them because they dont build boost nearly as quick.
the TXS manual uses a ball/spring with a bleeder valve for fine adjustment.

i'm happy with my HKS EVC4, and several friends of mine love their Profec B's.
