you have to unbolt the lower mount and spin that up. If you just lower the spring you will lose stroke.

The collar under the spring can lower/raise the height & the lower mount can lower/raise the height. The choice is yours & yours alone.
Kidding, search next time, there's a thread on these coilovers alone.

If I'm not mistaken, the instruction manual provides info on how to adjust these coilovers. The manual is in my car so I'm not 100% on that.
But generally, most coilovers (that have adjustable lower mounts) are height adjusted by that lower mount. Drooping the spring or adding preload will lower/raise the car but will change the way the car rides & it isn't recommended that you do add/drop the spring's tension significantly.

i'm aware of the fact that the preload may be affected if i mess with the collar under the spring, i'm talking about spinning the entire assembly
just wanted to know if that's possible or if the top mounts keep the damper locked in position...

Seriously its not rocket science... Whatever floats your boat..... Think of it as a giant screw. You can screw in the nut or screw in the bolt... No big deal come on....
This also should be in the tech section, NOT the chat section.... Should know that for being here on almost 5 years

To adjust the height you need the wireless controller. Grab the control and put in 2 aaa batterys the push up to raise and down to lower. Also anytime you adjust the height you need to get you car re-aligned.

Does the wireless controller work for all Fortune Auto coilovers?! I've got the 500 series; I was looking to get the 510 series so that I could get the wireless controller.

Then make sure you press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, b, a, select, start on the controller to get your car into drift mode.
But I'm confused, Fortune's coilover are not full tap? I thought they're 2 way height adjustable just like most coilovers out there for the S-chassis.

You actually don't have to unbolt the lower mount, just loosen the collar right above it and spin the whole shock body up or down (depending on if you want to lower it or raise it). You can do that in the front and the rear.

Exact same concept. If you cant figure it out after this then you probably shouldn't be working on your car alone.

bingo!
Also make sure that your springs are preloaded 1/4 on the front to prevent bind

just make sure you take any preload out of the spring first, or the nut on top holding it together might come off, it happened to me before
