View Full Version : Guys interested in Precision turbos: Here is diff between B comp covers, pic inside

Hey guys, Just wanted to put this pic on here for anyone curious. When purchasing Precision's line of turbochargers, they offer a Garret comp housing or a Precision housing. They both utilize the same size inlet and discharge, but they are positioned slightly different. And this can be determined by the part number.

For example: A PTB205-5128 is a Precision style housing and a PTB225-5128 is a Garret style. A PTB305-5128 is a Precision E cover, which is larger then both. Below is a pic of the difference in the B covers.

Im using PTE305-5128, it pretty good but i think, i'm for bigger one like gt30 series.

the 5530 is almost 57mm... good for 510 (maybe not on a t2 housing - but still a impressive lil fella.

Some how I still like Garrett turbo [email protected] .. it flow more efficient then PTE. I make more power at same boost amount.
