View Full Version : how to put power window down manually?

i am in the process of swapping doors on my 95 and was trying to figure out how to put the window down manually and up on the new door. my car currently has no motor in it and no power runnning to the car at all. please help!

Take a battery and jumper cable to power the motor manually!

If you still have the motor in the door, you can power it with a car battery by ghetto rigging it. Unplug the plug under the motor, if iirc its brown and blue wires? Either way just stick the positive and negative wires into the terminals and they should go down or up.. the wires are vice versa

Find the window regulator and strip back a section of casing on both wires. Touch a negative wire on one, and positive on the other. Switch them around to make the window go in the other direction. Just be careful the two wires don't touch...

Got it. All i did was get a battery and connect it to the pos an neg prongs on the plug n play connection closest to the motor. Simple as pie. Thank u to the non dick heads of this thread
