I have this weird rattling noise, almost sounds like a clicking noise either coming from my tranny or clutch...not sure when i turn on the engine and just leave it in neutral and let it sit, it would make the noise but when i step on the clutch the noise seems to go away....I am not sure if its the throw out bearing or what....if you guys have any idea what it might be let me know, My car is a 1990 240sx LE, swap with the 1995 s14's,...want to take it apart but i want to know your guys feeds first, thanks.

If it goes away when you step on the clutch, its almost always TOB.

I have this too. Light tapping/slapping sound that goes away when you put very light pressure on the clutch. (As in not depressing it)

Mine does it even in gear and seems to be more apparent after shifting hard.

What kind of clutch u running. My car does it to even with a new TOB and pilot bearing. I'm running a stage 4 6 puck and was told it's going make a chatter noise. When my TOB went out it was make a whining sound only when u push the clutch in Until the sound got loud and louder and lost all clutch pedal and pressure
