Ok, I need a little guidance here. I have gas smell at all times around my car and I'm starting to think my issue lies in my Evap setup. Durning my LS swap I removed the black canister in then engine bay and all hardlines from the underneath the car leading to the engine bay. I replaced my fuel line with a stainless steel braided line, but apparently I forgot to do anything with my Evap line. So tonight, after trying to track down this smell, I came accross this line just venting underneath my trunk. So, I took a good size bolt and used it to cap the line as seen in the pic below. Will I have any issues with this line being capped. I think this is the cause of my fuel smell, I pulled the gas tank access lid of to inspect the O ring and it looked good.

just wondering, when you remove your gas cap, does a massive amount of pressure get released? i removed my charcoal canister, and it seems to have an insane amount of pressure in the gas tank.

i also have a very strong gas smell *sometimes* when i turn left agressivly... but its at the same left turn every day, so i wonder if it could just be a leaky gas station, or something else around that area....

At this point I haven't had any issues with excessive pressure, but I just replaced my fuel tank access led gasket last night, because I had some major leaking going on. Before I replaced it last night, I had to stop parking in the garage, because it had my entire house smelling like gas within about 30 mins.

Bump, still need some help here. I actually pulled my access lid gasket out and replaced in Monday night. Everything seemed fine after that, but when I filled up the following night the horrid gas smell was present. Yesterday when leaving work I noticed that I even have a small wet spot forming on the concrete under the driverside seat, where there seems to be a slow drip of gas. Could this capped line be causing the pressure to rise enough to cause this? From all the threads I've seen on leaking gas tanks they seem to be on the passengerside beside the straps. Any ideas.
