Whenever i shift into first from a complete stop some black smoke shoots out the exhaust. i know that the black smoke isnt as big of a deal as the white smoke but im not sure if one of my gaskets is bad and i just have some oil leaking down into my gas but i wanted to know if anyone had the same problem and could tell me whats up before i go tearing my car apart. thanks in advance

do a compression test. your rings might be shot.

Looks like you're gonna have to pull the motor, I know this kid Geoff you should hit him up when he's on his Christmas break and pay him to do the job..

lol good one but the problem went away...my car tested 140 compression across the board so i have no idea what the problem was...should i be scared that it went away?

my car has 155 across and I consider that "low", stock compression is 175-180 psi. anything under 150 is considered unhealthy, if my dad said "yeah you got good compression" when he read 140 off the gauge he's making you feel good. 140 is okay for getting around but its definitely a tired motor.. lol you should just text me
