I think your car will be safe at 1bar.

I would rather just run the car like that, and if the headgasket blows, then go out and toss another oem one on along with some ARP studs.

youre safe with up to 300ish on a stock head gasket.

stay away from throw away gaskets(cometic)

Stock KA headgasket is still good at 330rwhp, daily driven... There are other issues that's of bigger concerns than the headgasket.

All depends on how old/mileage of the engine and tune. Healthy engine, sure no problem. Trying to turbo an old 190k engine...bad idea.

Worst KA-T advice ever.

Headgasket is NOT the weak link for a stock KA motor...as a few more reputable members have already pointed out here. There is no reason to replace a headgasket on an otherwise stock, healthy KA.

And as for "how much boost"...there's not a simple answer. What turbo, what engine management???

I ran a small turbo setup (SR T25) @ 10psi for over 2 years without blowing it. I was at the numbers you're after.

Thanks for all the advice Guys. Orion s14 I'm runing SR s14 t28 and when I save some more money I want to get a tuned ecu for my set up or just go safc/2. Just bought a mani from florante rea by the way thanks only thing I have to do is tap my oil pan and get lines for feed and return and tune and I will be ready I hope it run as hard as my SR did lol

^^^ S-AFC does not equal "tuning". Does nothing for timing control, only fuel. Fuel is the simple part of the equation, and can be WAY off without serious consequence. Timing advance is what blows motors.

Only good way to address the timing, is a tuned ECU.

Forget about S-AFC's, and spend the extra $100 for a proper ECU.

...

As for how much boost from a T-28...you can max out a T-28 and have it "safe" in terms of horsepower (even on a stock block KA)...but it will be terribly inefficient. I'd run no more than 10-12psi.

I can't agree with this more. Even with dropping the base timing, it's way too aggressive for 10psi. I would strongly suggest not trying tune with just an SAFC. I've tried it before, you'll hear it ping.

I think you should look into your grammar first before trying to turbocharge a KA

What does grammar have to do with mechanics? If you would like to get technical you did not include a period after your sentence Mr. Grammar Nazi
