Custom SR20det "Silicone" Hoses for Coolant side of motor

I'm referring to all the coolant hoses under the intake manifold.

I remember seeing someone did this a while back, but can't find the thread. Is it worth it to use silicone hoses instead of the stock hoses? I will be modifying my setup since I am using a S14 waterneck on a S13 motor (getting rid of the coolant line behind the motor).

Any suggestions or any input on this kind of setup?

Ive seen some subie guy use those silicon heater hoses from ebay.. but after a month or so chicken pox started forming on them so i dont know if its good silicon or if you mind the look.

Just stick with OEM or go all out with AN lines
