I decided to make a how to thread on how to install kouki side skirts

-Needs
-3M MOLDING TAPE
-SELF TAPING SCREWS
-WASHERS
-LAQUER THINNER
-CLOTH
-HEAT GUN OR HAIR DRYER
-PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWDRIVER
-JACK AND JACK STANDS

YOU CAN PAINT YOUR SIDE SKIRTS I DID NOT HOWEVER IM AM JUST GOING TO WAIT UNTIL I GET THE WHOLE CAR PAINTED

1) STEP ONE IS TO JACK THE CAR UP AND PUT JACK STANDS UNDER THE CAR
http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/95zenkisr20/2011-09-07_11-50-33_971.jpg

2) STEP TWO IS TO PREP THE TOP INNER SURFACE OF THE SIDE SKIRT FOR THE 3M MOLDING TAPE
http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/95zenkisr20/2011-09-07_11-51-14_589.jpg

3) STEP THREE IS TO RUN A LONG STRIP OF THE 3M TAPE ALONG THE TOPSIDE OF THE SIDE SKIRT
http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/95zenkisr20/2011-09-07_12-02-02_744.jpg

*4) NEXT IS AN IMPORTANT STEP YOU NEED TO HEAT UP THE TAPE TO MAKE IT BOND VERY WELL REMEMBER TO APPLY PRESSURE TO THE TAPE AS YOU DO THIS
http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/95zenkisr20/2011-09-07_11-59-06_547.jpg

5) REMOVE THE MUDGUARDS IF YOU HAVE ANY. NEXT USE THE FACTORY MOUNTING HOLE FROM THE MUDGUARDS TO MOUNT THE FRONT OF YOUR SIDE SKIRTS. MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE THE PROTECTIVE RED STRIP ON THE TAPE SO THE SKIRT DOSENT STICK TO THE CAR
http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/95zenkisr20/2011-09-07_12-03-41_32.jpg

6)REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE 3M RED STRIP AND PLACE THE SIDE SKIRT UP AND MOUNT IT MOST LOGICAL SPOT. FAIRLY EASY TO SEE WHERE THEY FIT BEST
http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/95zenkisr20
/2011-09-07_12-23-35_491.jpg

SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS WHEN YOU MOUNT IT UP
http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/95zenkisr20/2011-09-07_12-30-48_466.jpg

*7)THIS IS IMPORTANT YOU NEED TO HEAT UP THE TAPE AND SIDE SKIRT AGAIN TO HELP THE MOLDING TAPE BOND WELL TO THE CAR BODY. AS YOU HEAD UP THE TAPE APPLY PRESSURE TO THE SKIRT
http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/95zenkisr20/2011-09-07_12-25-40_828.jpg

IF YOU DO NOT HEAT UP THE TAPE THIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN
http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/95zenkisr20/2011-09-07_12-42-18_886.jpg

8)I PICKED UP THESE SELF TAPING SCREWS AND WASHERS FROM HOME DEPOT
http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/95zenkisr20/2011-09-07_12-32-58_254.jpg

9)NEXT SELF TAP THE SCREWS IN ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR WITH A WASHER ON THEM ( MAKE SURE YOUR END CAPS ARE ON AND BE CAREFUL NOT TO PULL DOWN ON THE SIDE SKIRT WHEN MOUNTING THEM OR ELSE THE TAPE WILL SEPARATE)
http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/95zenkisr20/2011-09-07_12-39-49_840.jpg

10) LOWER THE CAR AND ADMIRE HOW SEXY THEY LOOK :) HERE ARE BEFORE AND AFTER SHOTS

BEFORE

My "how-to". . .

Buy a 1997-1998 S14. Now you have factory side skirts and Kouki headlights and tails.

Enjoy.

The tape alone won't hold up despite the extra effort to heat the tape up. For one, the 97-98 has holes alone the rocker for some plastic snaps. You should have laid out that pattern and bought the plastic connectors. Also, why use those cheap-o zinc self-tapping screws. Those things will rust up in no time.

i've worked on many cars but mainly mechanical(engine) related, so this would actually help me with installing my kouki side skirts. Even though its easy i still appreciate people doing this for the nissan community.

Not one to usually comment on other dudes ladies haha.... but damn she's got some legs!

Also, I pretty much used the same method, skipped the hair dryer and the stupid screws. 3M industrial double sided tape, and they stayed on for 2 years just fine until I took them off.
