I've searched all over here, other forums, Google etc. I can't find a straight answer so I'll ask it here at the risk of getting flamed.
Is it at all possible to just swap the bellhousing from an SR tranny onto the VG tranny?
I don't have both of them in front of me to compare the bolt patterns on the sandwich plates.
I understand that this must've been thought of or, maybe, even done before. I just want to hear from those more experienced whether or not this is feasible and what other things to consider if it is.
I'm asking all this because I'm debating rebuilding SR tranny internals with Os Giken parts or doing the Mazworx SR-VG conversion.
I understand the difference in costs so before responses fly off in a tangent, that's not the question.
I'm really looking for the easiest solution for holding high WHP and torque numbers (500hp and up) without going the really high-dollar, custom made route (i.e. GForce, T-boxes, etc.)
Your thoughts....
