someone told me that when you get JDM engines imported and they all claim to have 40 to 60 kms or whatever, its cause in Japan they make you change your engine every 60 kms?? is that true?

they dont make you change your engine every 60k miles, I think its easier to own a new car and they tax like older cars over there alot, when i was there, it wasnt uncommon from someone to get a new car like every 5 years

no, i think it has to do with them adding a tax on vehicles with high mileage or somethnig to that extent

It's called "shaken," aka Anal Penetration with a foreign object.
Basically the car has to be inspected and pass this and that and it costs a good amount to take the test, let alone fix all the broken shit. :P

My take on the whole situation is as follows:
In Japan, even though they do not have emissions standards, they have a vehicle inspection program that is quite cut-throat. For instance, if you have a cracked windshield you car is not streetable, or something similar to that. Furthermore, in Japan it is so crowded and whatnot that it is nearly impossible to maintain a dent-free car, and because of this they treat their cars, even though way more badass than what we get, as more of a basic transportation machine than a prized possession. Either way, when the car is not longer streetable, they cut that shit in half and send us their trash.
