So I put my 1992 240sx on a Genesis scan tool at work, and I was looking through the datastream, just monitoring different things, seeing if everything seemed to be working right, and I came across a "High Octane Switch" and it said it was off at the moment. Does anyone know what this switch does? I tried searching and I'm not finding anything since any kind of search for high octane switching just gives me a bunch of results about people switching to high octane fuel and benefits, ect ect.

I also noticed a Wastegate Solenoid reading too, so it might just be something that is intended for another car, but I'm just curious if anyone knows.

it is just a consult data stream - it isnt used on your ecu.

I thought that was a possibility, but that scan tool isn't just a Generic OBD scanner, and actually uses your particular car, not to mention I've used it hundreds of times and never saw that before, and for things like that it usually just says "No Data" instead of giving a reading for it. Also, during my google searching I also came across a database of Nissan control modules, and it had that one listed.

I'm not saying my car has it, but it is a Nissan part or module. I'm just curious as to what it does.
