I wanna remove my emblems, it's just hard to get wax trapped in there, or to get it around the surface are, plus I really like a smooth hood. has anyone shaved their emblems off?

Hey Anthony!! What's up!!

Being that I have the exact same car as your I can verifiy 100% the front one is screwed.  (Or at least it has two holes)  I used a heat gun to get mine suepr hot only to find the holes.   But now the ones on the rear I didn't try...  but I guess those are glued no?

Rears are glued, the front has two plastic pegs that stick into the hood.

straight up...the front one has holes.

and the rear "240sx" and "SE" or "LE" are glued...a little dental floss will take those off and then some of that goop off shit will clear that up...then buff and wax and the rear is done..

oh yeah...and when you clean off the glue..use something with a low acid content. even though you may not notice it at first, anything with a high acid content will harm the clear coat and leave a cloudy spot..or may even leave the imprint of the emblems.

when i debadged my 240sx emblem on the back of my s13, there was glue left over, althought i used heat gun, but i used meguire's step 1 cleaner, and rubbed it for like 20 mintues, it came off, smooth as a baby's butt (other then the SX imprented in my paint, that dumbass paint shop don' tknow hellz what they are doing)

when i bought my S14 the previous owner already shaved the holes so I have no front emblem anyway. o well.

Or it's been wrecked and that's an aftermarket hood.  On or the other.

cool, I'll try to get the rears off tomorrow, I have access to a heat gun.  I wanted to shave the hood emblem at first, but I also wanted to get rid of the windsheild washers, or maybe relocate them. I just want a smooth hood, so I'll prolly just go after a CF hood or something.

Silk,
You need a new picture, your car looks like the kits on crooked.  Is it?

both the front and back and glued on, but both are held in with pegs.  if you take the front or rears off, you will have 2 holes front, 2 holes back.  and you cant bondo the taillights.

you can take the 240sx and SE emblem off on the rear trunklid, just take a blow dryer, heat up the emblems, and it should come off easier (its glued on/double side tape, something like that), the front is the same , but it has pegs, same with the nissan logo in the rear. (if you have a 97-98 you wouldnt want to take it off.
