I have been working on this car for close to 2 years and I would rather have money and a different project to work on.
I bought the vehicle with 89000 miles all original and functioning and have put 8000 more miles on the chassis
During the summer i ended up blowing the headgasket on the sohc KA and getting into a small collision in the front.
I changed the bumper, hood and radiator to obtain a straight front end (Not salvage title).
Instead of rebuilding the original engine i decided to buy a sr20 japanese half cut and swapped everything over.
The sr20det was seperated from the transmission and an engine rebuild gasket set was installed along with a new clutch and resurfaced flywheel.
I used circuit sports urethane motor mounts, megan bottom mount exhaust manifold and turbo elbow.
New 300zx oxygen sensor, new bolt on catalytic convertor installed on oem existing exhaust. 1 new injector installed due to it leaking
Since the finished swap, I have installed 5 lug hubs all 4 corners with some 300zx oem wheels to sit on.
Tires are in great shape and the front brake setup are the 300zx 4 piston calipers with the rear being the original single piston style.
I also installed a infiniti J30 viscous LSD differential. There is also an Apexi turbo timer, s14 seats, and high cfm Taurus fan with adjustable thermo switch
I have taken care of this car the best i could and have enjoyed it.
Runs smooth and gets suprising Mpg with low boosting.
After running the SR for 5-6 months i have fixed the oil and coolant leaks but have noticed that i have had to top the radiator off a bit 2 times since the swapping the engine.
I dont have any visible smoke at anytimes, no external leaks, and it seems to rarely need to be filled. I think after the engine warms up and high boosting the turbo burns some coolant
I have all reciepts and all labor was done by my hands
