I heard B&M came out with a new version of their shifter for 240's that doesn't buzz as much, but none of the sites I've seen say if their shifters are the new or old one. Does anyone know who sells the new version?

I have had zero problems with mine so far. A little stiff sometimes to get into first gear. Not sure if it is th eshifter or my tranny. Have had a few months now so it is mostly likely the reworked newer version.

A lot of the noise is dependant on your shift knob. If it is hollow on the bottom it will resonate some noise. Right now, I don't have any noise at all.

I only wish I could have found someone that doesn't want that crappy old B+M shifter, I'd love to buy it off them.
Any noise from the shifter is because of the shift knob. The reason the knob does rattle is because the unit is a one piece with no dampner. Thats also why the feel of that shifter is so good.
I'm using the stock knob and a little piece of gaffers tape to stop the knob from rattling.

I even tried it without any shift knob, and the noise level was same.....
