Im going in for an interview soon my local sears auto, just for tech 1. Anyone work or have worked there? How did you like it, any details about how they work, etc..

My best friend worked there a few years ago. Said it was pretty cut-throat. Coworkers stealing your jobs/assignments since you're paid off commission & regularly had payroll issues/problems. But that might just have been his site...
But he learned alot there. I think it was a good experience for him. You're the same age as he was when he started.

i worked there for a week and quit it was absolute bullshit
people taking your work and 5-6 bucks an hour sucked too
got hired at toyota and made bank

I would love to work at a dealer, i have no schooling as far as mechanics goes. Im planning on working there for around 5 months till i move to basically learn and gain experience for another job. preferably not at sears haha.

schooling? i diddnt have schooling either just ASE certifications is all you need

Eh not even. I worked at Toyota for 2 years, and I've been at Subaru for 5, and I still haven't (and could care fuck all about it) getting my ASEs. I'm more concerned with getting Subaru certified.

Did you guys just start off doing small work? I would love to work at a dealer. Toyota, Nissan, Honda..
