I switched to a s14 non-abs brake booster on my non-abs s13 due to clearance issues on my top mounted turbo.

So the problem is that my pedal is soft (but i can lock the wheels if i press it to the floor) when i start driving, then after a couple mins of driving my brake pedal gets stiff and the brakes engage.

*I know I can adjust the nut behind the BMC on the brake booster but shouldnt my pedal pressure stay the same regardless

**I'm waiting for my speed bleeders to arrive so I can do a brake fluid flush also if that could help

*****PROBLEM SOLVED********

I had to readjust the nut on the brake booster that pushes on the bmc just a few 1/4 turns. Then readjust the brake pedal to my liking.
- The vacuum being pulled on the brake booster was causing the brakes to engage if the nut on the brake booster is too far out.

I'd say the soft peddle could be booster and bleeding but the locking up is the nut on the bmc. turn the nut all the way in then bleed the brakes again. take it for a drive. you might have to adjust the nut again.

im going to have to adjust the nut on the brake booster due to the brakes start to lock up after continuous driving. Once they start to lock up i just unplug the one way check valve and plug the vac hose to the motor. lol

*I dont see how rebleeding the brakes would matter if i never opened the lines

Is the check valve in the right way? It should have an arrow on it.

yea the check valve is facing the correct way.

*But problem solved: I had to readjust the nut on the brake booster that pushes on the bmc just a few 1/4 turns. Then readjust the brake pedal.

- Since my old one was going out and i didnt know it I just have to get used to driving with a good one lol
