I installed a bee r rev limiter on an s13 ka24de according to this write up:
Bee*R rev limiter on KA24DE 92 240sx : KA24E / KA24DE Forum (http://forums.nicoclub.com/bee-r-rev-limiter-on-ka24de-92-240sx-t380227.html)
Everything is wired up but the it's not working and I don't get the flashing light on the device itself either.
Is there a different/working walkthrough elsewhere?

I just wired it up like your guide says, but the car will stall if the gain is anything over 0. Any ideas ??

The brown wire should be connected.. the grey wire needs to be cut in half

thanks for the help! turns out the guide I was using was correct. It's pin #1 and not pin #3. The reason that it wasn't working originally was because the grey wire wasn't cut

alright guys, i need a hand here.
I followed Biggamehit's writeup:
-Yellow wire to Pin #3
-Green wire to Pin #22
-Red wire to Pin #47
-Black wire to Pin #35
-White wire I left disconnected
I cut the grey wire, left the brown and white wire connected.
The red light on the bee-R lights up with the gain knob set to 1.
I set the Rev 1 knob to 1, and I get no limiter at all. no blinking light.
So I switched the yellow wire to Pin #1, like Edmorl said above. Now the light doesn't light up, and the bee-r is still not functioning.
can someone gimme some input here?

Well, I got it working... It is indeed pin 1 and not pin 3 for 1991.
Also, make sure your ground is legit.

not bashing simply asking. what are benefits of doing this?
I always wondered what it did, what purpose it serves. I want to backfire like a mofo too though.

Honestly, it's basically just for shooting flames lol and you can set you're rpm cutoff lower

Well correct me if i'm wrong but by installling a rev limiter you as the driver and tuner of it have the chance to control when you hit rev limit. Of course that said, you get to prevent your engine from ever going over rev limit which could damage the internals of the engine. When you install this you cut off the ignition and prevent and internal combustion from happening in the chamber so then the fuel doesn't burn but just gets dumped out the exhaust and when you go back below your rev limit you start to fire again and when that happens the fuel that was left in the exhaust burst into flames which is just cool. lol. That's what I believe happens from my knowledge of this.

always thought it had to be turbo to shoot flames, but if i can install this on my na ka. and shoot flames that be awsome. lol.

I just installed mine today. 96 SE, KA24DE. Both cat's gutted and running a custom catback with a magnaflow muffler (came on car when purchased)
It works as intended, although I was a little dissapointed on the results. With gain set to 1, it doesn't bounce as much as I thought it would. The instructions included state that, "gain set to 1 is bap-bap-bap, and set to 9 is BANG.........BANG." Seems to be the opposite for me. Set to 1, it sounds like a normal rev limiter except for rpms bounce a little slower than normal. Set to 9, it sounds like a friends 2-step tune on his focus, except for again, its a little slower. Definitely no BANG, and no flames.
I assumed it wouldn't shoot flames due to it being a stock engine, and no turbo. So it's not putting heaps of fuel into the exhaust. But I did kinda expect a loud pop or bang.
Still, do I regret buying it after wanting one for 10 years, not at all. But I was hoping to be a little more obnoxious than it turned out to be.

I still haven't got one myself but plan to.
I feel like it could benefit me at drift events being i am still on the stock ka24de and i feel like my stock limiter (68 or 6900 ish) is a bit high and i would like to set it to 6k maybe 6200 so i can confidently hold it wide open during a drift with stressing out about it throwing a rod.

Exactly, It's fun to pull the ebrake and make it pop every now and then. But the other day when someone was being an ass and honked when they were the obvious person who was in the wrong, I dumped the clutch from a stop and went around a corner just smoking the tires, held it at full throttle and didn't have to worry about it revving too high since it was set to 6k.
Right then I realized that I'm glad I got it for more than just one reason.

What's up guys I'm trying to connect my bee*R on my 1991 ka24de and I can't get it to work.My 240sx is also automatic have no idea if i need to do any extra steps to make it work?
Green wire #22
Yellow wire #1 also have it cut off from Ecu
Red wire #47
Black wire on#35
Grey wire is split into two and left white and grown wire alone.
I'd appreciate the help thanks
