I use dual 12" off ebay. Work fine with my ka when i had my stock radiator.

If you still have a stock one, a good 2 row aluminum would prob help a decent amount.

I wanna see how the Altima fans gonna fit with the RB motor in it. I bet they won't. He's gonna need some thin fans as pullers and the Altimas don't look too thin to me.

I personally hate electric fans. Clutch fan and stock shroud, never have had a problem.

Really? You got a clutch fan and shroud to fit with RB motor in S chassis? I'd like to see that.

I would post a pic of my fan setup but I'm 1500 miles away from my car :/ There is a TON of room I never had tho. Just go to a junkyard and grab a pair, mine were 30 bucks, if it doesn't fit then too bad just sell them here for 40.

↑ Yeah, with a stock radiator. You're not fitting that shit with any half-decent aftermarket 2-row radiator. 3-row? Forget it.

Almost, though.

someone needs to get on frsport.com and order a ka koyo radiator for whichever chassis your using and some dual flex-a-lite fans

if you dont have a a/c condenser, then put pusher fans on it. i ran almost a whole year without fans on mine, i just cut a big ass hole in my bumper. and i live in florida.

Well I got my mechanical fan installed. It was every bit of work I feared it would be. I spent about a week working on it mornings and evenings when it was less than 100 outside. I used the r33 rb fan, clutch, and shroud. I turned the back side of the fan clutch on my lathe to make a hub and flat surface for mounting the fan. I trimmed the fan blades leading edges at an angle on the outer ~2". I made radiator mounts on bottom that are raised and moved forward. This lifted the upper rad tank above the lip on the core support to get another 1/4" of spacing- without cutting anything! I made new upper mounts out of 1/8" aluminum.

yeah, that sounds simple  I can understand surfpac's skepticism.

-----

I prefer electric fans personally, less draw on the motor, and better control over when and how fast they run. I've noticed most of the people I've seen who complain about them being unreliable either wired them incorrectly or neglected to run a shroud, which is arguably as important as the fans themselves.

I'm running a Flex-A-Lite's dual 12 setup which works really well is the thinnest setups I could find before CFMs started taking a nose dive due to size constraints.

Sorry I don't have any better pics to show the depth. FWIW, Altima fans were too large to work in my setup.

The brackets I'm using are just angle aluminum from home depot with holes drilled in them, and then self tapping screws to hold it into the fan shroud. You could use the included brackets but they're fugly as hell.

Zip ties? Thats how I mounted my flex-a-lites at least. I need to find some of those hexagonal ones that you're supposed to use.

oh, that piece of alluminum that runs around the edge of the fans look like a mounting mechanism of some sort. sorry about that

3.8 Ford Taurus fans work good. Their cheap the shroud fits pretty good with some modification and they have two speeds. Check a junkyard.
