Clutch pedal wont come up

S-14, new master and slave. I have noticed that the clutch pedal has slowly sank to the floor. I can still shift and drive the car I think the pedal is sitting at the level where there is some pressure. I dont know if thats where it sits or not.

So my question is are there springs that bring the pedal back up or is off the pressure of the master

Make sure to bleed the surge system as well, or do yourself a favor and get rid of it completely.

oh sorry there's a stainless steel line that runs from master to slave. no damper box, is there some springs underneath the dash board? everything was fine for 2 months

I have the same issue. Bleeding didn't help, changing to a stainless line and eliminating the damper box didn't help either. I've tried adjusting the pedal itself and that didn't help either. Mine actually affects shifting as well. :(

remove all the lines and change into one braided clutch line, bleed the whole system. and call it a day. lol

I am not an expert by any means, but I think there is a spring in the clutch pedal assembly that could be to blame. My guess is if you get yourself under there with a flashlight you should be able to see whats wrong with a visual inspection. If there's a spring out of place or hanging or snapped, then you'd see that.

You could check the FSM to see if there's a diagram of the pedal assembly and use that to reference when you're looking at yours, or find another 240 MT car to compare with.

I've spent some time under there but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Dunno about the OP but mine is usually fine until you put pressure on the pedal. Once you do that you can take your foot off the pedal and watch it slowly move towards the firewall until its fully depressed. If I let the car sit for a few days the pedal will be fully depressed when I get into the car. Its pretty weird.
