So I'm chillin (little bit of illin) at the shop yesterday figuring out which route to go with my 240 when a fellow s14 owner enters. My buddy behind the counter goes "here's a swap for ya, this guys going to drop a Skyline GTS-r engine in his s14." I was like  ! My friend behind the counter thinks they'll be the first shop to pull that off.

I would love to see that guys car when finished. If I go SR though, I still wouldn't want to roll up on him <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I am pretty sure unstable hybrids have been doing crazy swaps like that for a while. &nbsp;pretty sweet though, a I-6 in a 240 that would be fast

yeah ive heard of a few rb25det swaps, i think theres alot of custom work that has to be done for the right hand drive to left...what i would really like to see is an rb26dett swap.

He might be saying its a lot of work to put in an engine that came from a RHD into a LHD, thats what I get from it ........ differences ... don't you love'em !

ya but all the Sr swaps are from RHd too so that would not be relavent . the main thing(with the RB swap) &nbsp;you have to do is notch your radiator support and get a slimmer radiator due to the length of the RB.

yes Gary's car is a mostly stock S14, . Now remember folks there is a Gary at Mckinney motorsports he is on this forum as grumpy. He has a RB25 in a S13.
Now my boy Gary has since stuck his RB25 in his race car an 95 S14 fully setup.

this is kinda old, but i just got back from skiing, and no one really answered DSC's question...

the difference between RHD and LHD is the steering - in a big inline 6, u need a lot of custom work to make the turbo(s), A/C (the problem with the SR), etc. clear the steering knuckle and rack. for a RHD car u dont have to worry about clearance too much on the left side of the car, but when u put a RHD engine in a LHD car that becomes an issue.

Nice idea but won't it handle like a 5h1t in a bathtub with the extra weight over the front wheels? Great for drag strips tho.
