bov not blowing off???

I got a turbosmart bov n its not blowing off or sounding off
The guy that haded b4 me painted the car n I guess it has over sray
Any idea on how to clean it..... should I take it apart?
Any recomandations?

BOV's are very simple cylinders, take it apart and lube the piston with WD-40 or similar, and make sure you have a good vacuum source attached to just it (line from the throttle body with nothing tee'd).

What vacuum source are you using? Post throttle body?
