I am using ebay tubular manifold. I've heard people tsuggestion to brace the turbo to prevent manifold cracking. The turbo on my supra is braced from factory. One up and one down. Can I see some pictures of some sr20det turbo bracing. I keep looking at my turbo (garrett gt2871r) and cannot find any place to brace it. My manifold is heat wrapped and is silicone coated. For bracing it must be from underneath.
Thanks

Most aftermarket manifolds come with a bolt on brace like the one below.

reweld that brace that comes the manifold or make your own bracing.

That brace is covered by turbine housing. It is way too short for the weight of the turbo to be effective. The brace shoild be like intake manifold support and its only supporting aluminium.

In my opinion and own experience...this is the only way to do it on a stainless manifold. I have done flange to flange braces on cheap manifolds and they didnt fair to well. I'm no expert but I think it may be due to the manifold material expanding in directions opposing the brace (flange to flange) and putting stress on it.
