I am going to install widebody rear over fenders. Instead of using rivets ive seen people use quarter turn fasteners. I have search for and have only found ones from hardware/building shops. I was wondering what people have used for their widebody install.

I use stainless sheet metal screws for my widebody, but I do use DZUS fasteners for my bumpers. Is that what you are looking for?

Try summitracing.com, or speedwaymotors.com

They'll definitely have them.

Also fastenal might have them as well as pegasus racing...

Or you know, just type dzus fasteners into google...they aren't hard to find

Nutserts would work too, or rivets

why do you want to be able to take your rear overs off? Whats that going to do for you? They are usualy riveted on so they dont come off. dzus fasteners are great only if you need to pull panels asap. Other than that your wasting your money since they are a PITA to install (correctly). And usually way more expensive than rivets

Exactly. The quick release stuff is pretty much a bling thing at most, as if you bust the fender it's just as easy to drill old rivets out, or to unscrew a couple 1/4" bolts if you use nutserts.

Nutserts are great, though id be concerned that the sheetmetal isn't thick enough to accept them.

I agree with the others, while dzus fasteners are great, they only make sense on race/drift cars...and even then its mostly for being able to get to components...so unless you are tubbing and pulling the fender would mean easier access to the suspension, its a waste
