View Full Version : Car shakes more than normal on shut down

When i turn my car off...the car shakes and jars pretty hard at the end...any ideas...maybe need new motor mounts???

does it feel like a bad misfire as it slowly it shuts down

Sounds like your losing fuel at the end.

Probably your motor mounts. My motor does the same on shut down and I know I need them. GL

A mount issue would also be present at startup. usually.

i changed my motor mounts (nismo)...with no change...could it be a fuel thing...i changed the fuel pump (walbro 255) and fuel filter (z32). Car does great on start up. Any other ideas on why it would shake so bad during shut down.

My car did this when i had vacuum issues, just saying.

That Walbro 255 can over time over-power the stock FPR and cause funky fuel pressure irregularities..

does this happen every single time? even cold? or only after its been driven for a while?

It happens ever time I shut the car off...no matter the engine temp
