View Full Version : Shisty looking D2 Coilovers

Does anyone have any idea about the quality of the D2 coilovers on that recent group buy that has been sweeping through a couple of different 240 boards? D2 appears to be the manufacturer for KYB, Gab etc. So it seems like there is at least some potential for them to be decent quality, though the whole thing does still sound a bit shisty. The $600 with camberplates, group buy pricetag, 1 year warranty and $20 a spring custom spring for custom spring rates makes the whole thing seem way to good to be true. Does anyone have any information on these things at all? They appear to be really new on the scene so no one in this country has put them through any thorough testing. obviously rotors, but the hell is that color for? and are the hats just not drilled?

I assume its just a blank hat, and they can bolt up different hats for different bolt patterns and such. Anodized for bling, just as long as you resist the urge to use the brake pedal :)

I was pretty sure anodizing was an alum only process?

Speaking of "unknown coilovers", take a look at this website

I saw these for the S13 on ebay, brand new, buy it now for $599. Now...I'm no coilover expert, but the close up pics on these look impressive.


Any thoughts?? Anyone ever heard of these??

I was part of the D2 Coilover groupby over at www.az240sx.org. The
deal didn't go through so none of us was able to actually try them.
But they look pretty decent for the price. If you happen to get them, I want to know how they feel. I ended getting some JIC FLT-A2, they're awesome, the ride stiffness isn't that bad eventhough I have it set at 8 from stiff.
