First Ill start with the list of mods. S13 blacktop, built head, stock bottom end, GT2871, I/H/E, FMIC, JECS 8500cc injectors, z32 maf, ground werks tuned ecu.

Ok, so I have had this set-up for about 6 months now. I just recently got my tuned ecu so I have been running off the stock 370cc injectors, stock sr maf and stock E5 ecu the last few months. The car ran great that way, a little rich but not bad at all.
So I got my tuned ecu earlier this week and installed the; 850cc injectors, z32 maf and tuned ecu(which is tuned for my complete set-up, including the head work). Before I did anything I plugged up the tuned ecu to make sure it was good. Cranked up fine, i could rev freely to whatever rpm, but it would pop on the way down if I revved past 5k(back pressure kind of pop, nothing violent or anything).
Next I installed the 850's and maf. Now it runs crazy rich! I cranked it up and it'll rev but spits and sputters all the way up in the rpms and blows out smoke. Pulled the plugs, covered in gas as i suspected. So I cleaned them off and tried again. Same thing! So I gave up for the night and now Im pretty stuck. Cant be tps, cas, or anything like that because it ran fine before the upgrades! So, I feel that its pretty obvious that the problem came from one of the upgrades or timing? Would I need to adjust the timing at all with these mods?
Please post some possible salutions. And if anybody that has experience with this or just good info that would be willing to call or text me sometime this weekend, please pm me your number.

Thanks!

Ecu is either bad or tuned for bigger injectors.

Okay, ran fine before you installed the injectors and Z32 MAF. So if I had to guess your tune is wrong on the that ecu. Couldnt be your CAS or TPS since they were both fine before. So it HAS to be the ECU they tuned it wrong.

Why did you go so freaking big on the injectors? Bigger is not always better on injectors, no reason to upgrade them until you reach the limit of flow and atomization. I can't see you running out of injectors with a stock bottom end and needing 850s

Also why did you change your maf?

Have you tried putting the old injectors in or the old maf in?

What's the ecu set up for?

850s are perfect for that set up. Stock bottom end or not. 740-850cc are perfect.

Edit-Did you really just ask why he changed a STOCK SR MAF?........

Ok, you missed the point as to why I asked why he changed the maf. A "built head" doesn't mean anything to me because an engine isn't a fucking lego you can just snap together, everything has to work together. I can do mild cams and springs and not deck the head and shoot for an extra 50hp OR I can "build" a head for strength and reliability and nothing else.

He gave us NO INFO as for what was "built" in the head, or what hp he's shooting for...all of these things work together and your assumption that 850s are perfect for that setup is rediculous considering he didn't tell you what the hell he's done specifically.

That said, 850s could be perfect and yes the maf change is the right thing to do, but for the purpose of problem solving, its important to have information, especially when he said the car ran better before he changed the maf and injectors...

He has a 2871 also. You know...that 350+whp capable snail lol

Yes, key word "capable"...plus again, we don't know his exact setup. Its a low displacement engine, I've seen guys making a lot more power than 350 on a lot less injector a lot more efficiently...

Im not responding to you again, this is a silly argument, im only asking for more information from the OP since its hard to diagnose anything without specifics when it comes to engines...

So it was dyno tuned, jk ;)
I gotta step my game and tune for thermal intake manifold gaskets and oil restrictors

Ok now I see what you're up to, now 850s don't sound big (though I wouldn't be surprised if you could go smaller for better atomization)...what's your hp goals with this setup? My guess is its in your tune as others have said.

Question have you invested in a fuel pump yet?

I'm looking for 350ish hp. Forgot to mention a 255 fp.
that's a copy and paste list. Was hoping nobody actually wld think that was included in the tune

Forgot to mention, My e5 ecu; pinout #39(ecu ground) has a soldered wire on it. But my harness is fine. Should I ground that wire just to make sure? Didnt want to chance frying my ecu.
