HOW THE FCK do I get this thing to loosen up? I've pb blasted the shit out of it. Even overnight. I got a wrench on the jam nut and another one on the squared part on the tie rod end and its just frozen when i turn it opposite ways... Anybody got any ideas how to loosen this thing up??

^what he said.
just to add....torch or burn it till it glows red
then just hold wrench on squared part and double wrench the jam nut
p.s-i'm not liable if you burn yourself XD

cuz i burned myself when doing this...exactly on tie rod ends..goodluck.

the best thing would be an oxy torch, but if you can get one of those small torch's from walmart, they will work too.

Alright. Managed to get it loose. I would have tried the torch otherwise lol. For future reference for anybody who has the same issue: I got my wheel to hold my tie rod up. (You case use a jack). Get your wrench or vice grips on the jam nut and make sure its supported under the LCA. Now get your other wrench on the squared portion on the tie rod end. Hammer away at the wrenched tie rod end. Took me 3 tries and it came loose. The pic is below.

Yes the ball joint and the bolt came off the old tie rod itself :/

just an fyi. holding the jam nut while trying to get the outer tie rod off will do nothing unless the jam nut is froze on the inner. you need to hold the inner tie rod so it doesnt spin while removing the outer.

was just gonna say aren't you supposed to hold the tie rod -then losen the jam nut - then the outter end

glad im not the only one who burned my self on tie rods LOL
