why are we using the crappy logo? what ever happened to using this logo... http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-9/387692/zilvia_net_logo.gif ? the logo its up there doesn't fit the color scheme... anybody agree?

Sure, we should have choices. But when we were looking at ideas for a new logo, not that many people put effort into designing one, so we get the original idea in the end. I think it looks great, BTW.

about the effort thing, my sister put in three weeks in the logo. and eled me to think we were going to use it. i took everyone's suggestions to have it modified how it is right now. i even think west was going to use it in one point in time. so blah.

i'm liking the new logo better. it would also make a nice sticker. i'd buy another zilvia sticker. it would be cool to have different types like one with an s13 hatch, s13 coupe, and s14.

As for the new logo. Its will take awhile for me to get the whole site moved over to the new logo design. Sure it might take some getting used to, sorry if you dont like it. The members polled a long time ago to use this logo as the main logo/sticker and im sticking with it. I like it.

If the world was a better place everyone would have over 800x600 and I wouldn't have to make the logo 300px wide. It does match the site, it has the same blues as the rest of the site, you just cant tell because its so small. :(
We will be upgrading to vB 3 whenever it is a RC release. Once we do that I will get us a new look for zilvia and it will match the new logo perfectly. So please have patience. I only have so much time these days :(

Nismo240sx, I know your sister put in a lot of work but overall its not really what im looking for. It cant be used as a sticker very well nor does it flow with the site. That just my opinion. Sorry if I lead you on to think we were using that logo. I had everyone do many revisions to see if we could even use them.

I think it looks good, and For the record I actually did design a logo, I didn't stick 3 weeks into it like some people, but I did my part, and I dunno I think the new one is defineately good, but I think we are all used to the old one. Change isn't always a bad thing you guys! :D :bow:

New logo looks great. It matched just fine cuz of the blues like west said.

That logo flows with the purpose of the site, the Z from Zs, and the ilvia from silvia.

Nismo, your logo looks good for sigs and link banners, but not such a great logo for the site.

I loved coolerow's design, but yet again its too busy.

i like both logos. i also think that nismo240sx's logo is nice, but doesn't mesh well with the site. it looks kinda like... too friendly and nice-ish? but it is a nice logo. as someone said, thanks to your sister for her time. maybe we'll find some use for it in the future. maybe i could use it as a sig on other 240sx websites?

and to west, i thought we were going to use the logo thats there now as for stickers... oh well. it'll take some getting used to. we should just make the colors contrast.... and try to have the 240sx, 180sx, silvia, s15, z32, etc. back up there... its just too dark and the other stuff is too brite. just a few adjustments and everything will be fine. i have nothing bad to say because you never say immature rude shit to anybody... thanks for that bro. ;)

The current logo (the one that looks liek a Z32 and S14 Silvia badge) is the only Zilvia logo i actually like. Some of Coolerow's would be ok for a T-Shirt or something. This one is simple, effective, MEANINGFUL, and well... just better. So stop whining. And if it took someone 3 minutes vs. 3 weeks... oh well, life isnt fair. My boss chooses certain designs that i may take 4 minutes on, over the ones i truly like best and spend more time doing. Ya know what... don't get so personal about stuff, especially design.

A teacher of mine said it nicely: desgin is not like fine art. You are making something for someone else, they hire you to give them a design they like. You may have different tastes than your client, so do not get personally attached or set on a particular style, otherwise you will lose a client and a job.

Basically stop dwelling on your sister's design. Its decent. Nothing to laugh at. But it just shows that people ahve different tastes, and in this case, those are not the same as yours. Oh well.:rolleyes:

And regarding clearcorners.com- you evidentlydont understand how much R&D and technology Mike puts into his products. People with more expensive cars that can afford such things give him business, not cheap ass 240sx owners looking for $40 clear turn signals....

Um.... sorry to hear about the bad day. But ooooooooh, you gonna get it for talkin shit on somethin you dont know about.. First, Dousan's car looks liek SHIT. It is about 6 different colors right now and needs a paint job quick. (and engine). With a stock KA, negative camber is needed to drift. More negative camber than usual. A smaller contact patch will break easier, and then roll onto a full one under hard compression, ie fast speed and increased angle. MAKES complete sense! Picture whore? Ah thats Nitekids. Everything Dousan takes pictures of is for a review or useful info. Why? cause his car is heinous looking, and there is nothing to show off. He drives his car for fun, has fun in it, and uses it! Instead of getting an ungly bodykit and bling wheels to look cool and have a "hook'd up ryde" he spends (a shitload of money) on tires, wheels, and track events. Um yeah... i would rather have that than 17xbad +shitty offset wheels. but yeah now all his car needs is his own wheels (not borrowed you mooch!:p) which are coming soon. And more power for faster drifts cause if one person has ever exhausted the life out of a KA for drifting, Dousan is him.

So take your bad day and a couple dolla billz and go to the strip club, meet a nice lady, and get some lovin.

color doesn't matter to me. i'm plagued with an automatic. i've wanted to drift for so long, but no place to do it. i'm getting an sr by this jan. or feb. witch will be a 5spd., and i'm going to get new wheels(prolly 5zigens or watanabes) and the fact i have the rims and body kit... i got that two years ago, when i thought it was necassary. about the problems thing, it was with my lady and my fault. sorry for whoping you dousan, so here... i'll give you some jokes to get back at me. "i'd be depressed too, if my car looked like that!" or "damn, you must be really concerned with gravity, those wheels weight a ton!" or "anyone hungry? this kid's car is full of rice!" there you go, choose any of those... i'm pretty sure i'll feel better if you do. sorry to everyone.:(

n1 dual and it shakes and bounches all over while my headlight bounces as well and annoys people in front of me

car is old ghetto and falling apart

i'd kill for a paint job or a single colored matched car right now :(
