Diffs are very heavy. It will not be $20 or less. I just checked UPS and from CT to NJ, its already 26.67

as for shipping, I am goining to ship all of them UPS Ground unless a particular person wants it shipped a different way. In which, they must tell me what they actually want.

They will be shipping from our warehouse in Milford, CT 06460

it will be the exact price UPS charges me, I will charge the person. I believe it is only fair that if it is shipped to someone close, they shouldnt pay the same amount as a person getting their LSD shipped to CA.

I will contact Kaaz today to see what the exact weight of the unit and oil will be so I can start giving shipping quotes.

You can count me in as #6 because I think I would for sure get it if theres 6 people before...mid December. The reason why I want to get it before is because I want to try it out at the track and the track day is the 23rd. Sorry if I sound impatient or something but I'd really like to get it before the track day and test it out to really get a feel of the lsd where I can open up. Hopefully it can be sent out before mid Dec.

so even if it is a money transfer, you still need to add 2.9% on the TOTAL of the invoice.

in otherwords, the best and cheapest money transfer is MONEY ORDER, CHECK, or CASH(locals only).

being imported here now are called "Solid LSD". These units are made especially for US open diff. vehicles. Will fit all open diff. vehicles without replacing any axle flanges. Comes with new carrier bearings, axle seals and case gasket. If you have a vlsd vehicle (S14) you need to replace the axle flanges to the open diff. type to make it fit.
We offer this new model in 2 way version only. 16 plates design so it is more adjustable than the previous 8 plates design. 1.5 way version is no longer available for the US market. If you buy a Kaaz unit from a grey market importer, you will need to replace axle flanges to make it fit.
Installation is also offered at our facility at very reasonable price.
So if you are located locally here, we can do the install for you.

Guys, just though I'd share some info as far as break-in.

According to KAAZUSA, you can use any type for gear-oil for the break-in period (pennzoil, castrol, etc)

However, you must change it and use the KAAZ oil after the break-in period.

Heres the email I got from them

Hi,
Thanks for your email. The answer is yes to all your
questions.
We always recommend the dealers and end users to use
a cheap generic brand gear oil for break-in procedure.
You will have to drain it anyway after half hour.
Just make sure you don't use synthetic type oil. It is
not good for most clutch type lsd.

Do you mind telling me what kinda shop you went to to find the quote?

It wasn't really the shop itself per say, but someone at the shop that does work on the side. The guy has an engineering degree and has prob done close to twenty sr20det engine swaps and some lsd installs (he def. knows what he's doing). The shop he works at fixes electrical problems with lexus, bmw, some saab, jaguar, and they've even done a few countauches, so its not like he's taking money away from the shop. I did forget to add however that the time estimate might be a little high w/ this lsd because he is planning on having to use output shafts in the install even though I told him this lsd doesn't need them (he hasn't heard about the new version of the kaaz lsd).

Kaazlsd(or anyone that can answer these questions):

Do you have to break the lsd in right away? Or can you drive around normal and then break it in later? And do you have to change the fluid right away after you break it in?

The reason Im asking is because the lsd is getting installed as of now and I dont have kaaz lsd fluid but I have lsd fluid for the break in(vlsd fluid i think). I just want to make sure.

Hi,
It is best to do the install right away but if you can't, just drive
the car easy. Especially around the turns. If you need to drive
10~15 miles to get to a parking lot for break-in, that't no problem either.
Just use regular gear oil (lsd applicable) 80w90 GL-5 spec.
Drain the oil right after the break-in. Add fresh oil, Kaaz brand or
the same brand oil used for break-in. If the chatter noise is bad,
add some friction modifier from Ford.

Kaaz: The install is finished and broken in properly. Is it okay to drive around for awhile easily with the same oil thats in there for just a little bit? (say...70-90 miles?) I need to drive to school and about 30 miles to the shop and back another 30miles(60 total) to get the lsd fluid? Im pretty sure it should be okay but i want to make sure.

Btw, after the install and break in, it was pretty quiet compared to my friends. Very little clunking except in low rpm's once in awhile and the usual lsd noise. Chirp sound...(tire sound)

okay....I got the Pennzoil 80W-90 GL-5 lsd oil. I think you guys recommended it if you dont use the Kaaz oil. Saw the install/recommendation in import racer. It will go in tomarrow hopefully.
