View Full Version : Q: side skirts and front bumper

Hey, I’m planning to get the Vetex bumper. My question is would it flow with my 98 SE side skirts or would the front bumper sit lower making it look a bulldozer?

Planning to put Japanese stock rear bumper with valence.
May be a K's wing

such a subjective question...there is not an exact answer that will be applicable to all..basically somethin for the individual to decide..tastes are just so varied..

Personally, i dont think it flows at all. The Vertex bumper is very "bold" and it sits pretty low, while the s14 side skirts are very subtle and dont sit that low at all. Plus the vertex bumper flares out at the bottom and to me the stock side skirts dont match it at all. Thats just my $.02 though.:)

maybe he's asking for opinions cause he's too stupid to come up with his own..or maybe he lacks the capabilities of original thought..so he needs affirmation from others to validate his, most likely copied, ideas...

you are correct in a way..forums are for opinions and facts and a balance of the two...i'm just somewhat tired of the countless questions of this nature...as there is NO real answer..who the hell cares what i think, or you think, or anyone for that matter..it's his car..he needs to decide for himself..and if he is incapable of doing so then fine, go get a magazine and copy someone else..or post on here and deal with being told that he is a sheep..destined to follow..

I just wanted input on what people think... like revat619 or dousan36, thanks. Sorry if I seem stupid or incapable of deciding for myself, nokeone. Its one thing to like your car and having your own style, but it’s also another for people to enjoy and respect it.

I hope that made sense.

one of the "ultra-rare" items...very limited. You could always buy it straight from nissan but then you'd be paying very up the a$$ :boink:

Trust makes a lip that looks close to the oem Aero Lip

JDM lip is rare to find but if u got lucky, you'll find one in "JAPAN"!!
Trust makes one yes, and "Final Konnexion" makes similiar one to JDM lip too.
Here's my JDM bumper when it's in Japan.

They are pretty cheap on auctions 1 year ago..right now it seems the prices of those parts have gone up....compared 14000yen JDM bumper with lip, as now 26000yen...because of US buyers? possibly

What, only that much? Isn't the conversion rate approx 120/US$? is it really that cheap? thats only a couple hundred bux. that might be my next mod if you're correct on those prices.

It's an add-on lip.. you should be able to see thru the pics..
It's that cheap, yes. As most JDM parts here are double the price on eBay. So it's good for you if you have relatives or friends there to help you get it.

You can get the Trust lip from http://www.takakaira.com/

As for the OEM lip...that is a HARD find..and I didn't know the Final Konnexion one existed.


Either way your going to have to buy it from Japan...so shipping will be $$$$$$. You will also need the JDM bumper before you can use either of those lips.

(that doesn't sound right)

I do have the bumper :) but a friend of mine wants it. So i was looking into other bumpers. But I think im going to keep it now and put the lip on.

The final konnexion looks different than the JDM bumper w/ aero lip.
Attatched is an image of the JDM aero lip, if you compare it to the final konnexion one, you will notice the lower edge along the side is different. the stock one is flared out a bit along the lower edge, the FK one is much flatter, the line along the lower edge curves up. Doesn't flow nearly as well

Small differences, which some may or may not care about. JDM aero lip for me all the way.
