I'd say no just because the ad is in all caps.... But research the parts and find comparable cars and prices and go from there.

5k is pushing it imo. Honestly I sold my sr s13 for 5.2k and it was A LOT nicer.

I'd offer 3.5k the way it is. People are totally over pricing the value of 240's.
But go ahead and spend that 5k on it now. It'll be a life lesson when you get older and realize how dumb it was to spend that much for a car that doesn't really have much.
Cars aren't an investment. Just saying.

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks this..
Been watching the market for a little over a year (yeah.. still don't have one..)
1. Someone posts their POS bucket up for 3k
2. Someone else with a moderately less mangled S13 posts theirs up for 3.5k because it's in "Better condition"
3. Well.. Now someone with decently clean S13 sees these posts and assumes they're getting asking price for their buckets and as a result we get this.. "POS 240's are going for 3-3.5k and mine is way cleaner than theirs.. Infact it's the cleanest 240 you'll ever see. Don't try and BS me because I know what I have, I want 4.5k FIRM"
..before you know it we have decent looking stock S13's being listed for 4.5-5k..

You should just pickup my sleeper KA-T at 5K. Unique and faster than a stock SR swap. anyways GL with the buy.

You should buy Falkon240's car. Especially compared to that red bucket.
Plus it is already white.

i am looking at it this way, if I were going to do this myself
CAR w/ straight body, uncracked Dash and full interior no engine. $1000.00
Red Top SR from Japan $1500
Freshening up the SR $500.00
LABOR for swap ( if you cannot do this yourself) $ 1000
other stuff you need to adopt the SR on your SR $1000
5ZIGEN TIRES/WHEELS $1000
OTHER interior/exterior stuff $1000 (Seats,skirts,radio)
PAINT (2 stage 1 day paint) 750.00
add it up $7750.00 if i was to do it myself
take 1000 off is I can wire and install my SR. so $ 6,750.00 how about the Tockicos and if I want to add a FMIC.
So 7k for a registered, not abused, complete interior, running, newly painted SR 240 is not all that bad. I will probably offer 5500.00 and go from there.

im waiting on his reply, so i can take it to a mechanic, and no rims 4950 so im buying it if it checks out, i know its a little too much but, im willing to pay that for this car
so i plan on spending an extra 4k for interior, paint, coilovers, i want to make this a clean all stock exterior car but that has power under the hood, and amazing interior. cops out here where i live hassle everyone in 240's

HAHAHAHA in my opinion that car has nothing, only a stock SR swap. 3200-3500 max. And if you have another 4k to spend on it why not combine your funds and look at something better.
O wait I see your 17 nevermind....

hey i need a question answered real quick, whe i went in the car for a ride, it didnt make a loud bov noise, it sounded more faint, would that be a recirculating valva, he said theres a hks bov valve but i never saw one when i looked in the car, is it lower in the engine or what???? and if so how can i make a louder BOV noise from the sr20??

Hell no, 1st off ive heard bad things about team clock work from people and marco from sr20 store. You can find something much nicer for that price, just look on here and compare cars. Id say it would be worth it if the motor had internal upgrades

If your asking questions like this you shouldnt be jumping into an SR. Since you live in Cali I would go with Ground Performances advice and turbo a KA and make it a sleeper and be way less than 7K....Louder BOV means more attention to you, good luck getting back your car or 5K when cops hear your loud BOV....be smart

dont get me wrong, i dontwant youtube loud bov valve noise i just like the clean noise, and i reallyam looking for the closest to stock, so i can do the mods myself, i like the look of stock body, chuki style, and im going with that, i just dont want to deal with the hassle of swapping the motor since i go back to school tomorrow and i wont have time to do that, let alone i need a drivable car to get around

passed on car, def not worth 5k, id pay 3.5k for it, the seller was nice but its not worth the price, for stock everything except the motor its not close to 5k

Not trying to go too far OT but I'm just curious as to what's up with the pricing on these..
Everyone is saying it's not worth more than $3.5k yet every time I take a look for some I see this crap..
Stock Coupe, SOHC KA, automatic $3,400
1990 nissan 240sx coupe- CLEAN (http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/2553124617.html)
Guarantee if I walk up with $1500 in my hand he'll think I'm crazy and say gtfo..
And another SOHC with "Price lowered" but still $3k..
Nissan 240sx S13 JDM *PRICE LOWERED* (http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/2542686530.html)
Just thinking out loud.. because $3.5K for an S13 with a stock and sound running SR sounds pretty good to me.. am I crazy..?

It's the so cal drift tax man, when I bought my first 240sx it was a 90 sohc it ran very well and actually passed smog and I only paid 1500 for the damn thing. Now everybody thinks that their 240sx is some kind of instant pussy magnet, it goes back and forth in the market but I would never pay over 2k for a sohc unless it was absolutely spotless and had no problems. But hell look at ae86 corollas, those things go for 3k+ for a carbureted sr5 model nowadays which is absolutely rediculous, thank the fanboys and bandwagoners hyping their pos's up like theyre cool.

Ya i hate that about 240's, i think the same way as mwh photo, a super clean sr swap, clean interior rims and coilover and more sounds good for 6k 7k a nice s13, but stock sr swap maybe 3.5k , im waiting to find my s13, im very picky, and im not gonna spend a lot of money for a 20 year old car ya know even tho there nice it has to be a nice price too

So true, and I never got any extra pussy for my s13 or s14. Only heads youre gonna turn are thieves. Like raz0r said, you have to pay to play though. Just wait it out, great deals come along. For example both my s13/s14 I sold for way under socal market value because I was looking for a quick sell. Find a seller like me and you'll be set

Have fun playing the waiting game :bash:
I've been trying to snag one for a little over a year now.. there are deals out there like they've said, you just need to look out for them.. they go really quick.
Almost had a '92 hatch that was clean as hell, 150k, mostly stock except for some coils for $2.6 but I had just sold my MTB and paypal hadn't released my funds due to it being Sunday.. and the car sold that night..
Prices are pretty high right now btw.. about $500-$1k more in some extreme cases than they were 2-3 months ago.. Wait it out if you can until mid/end of fall and they'll go back down.
