Hey everyone, thinking about selling my S14. It's a right hand drive Kouki with about 110,000km on it. The reason I want to sell is because its non-turbo (SR20DE) and the money would help to order a Silvia from Japan with an SR20DET. I'm not sure what the laws are on you importing a right hand drive car in the United States or what you would have to do, if you even could do anything to make it street legal. Just looking for a general estimate on what you guys would pay for this car to see if it's even worth attempting to sell in the states. Oh, I'm located in the Cayman Islands so you know what shipping would approximately be. Thanks to everyone in advance for taking a look.

Illegal? Having a imported car that cant be registered in the US is illegal. Guess that was forgotten.

Not worth it period. Sil s13 and 14 are common swaps up here, some people even get half-cuts with the rear subframe with vlsd and just swap everything over to a 240 and badge them up and you cant really tell the difference unless for bragging rights.

If you had a s15 spec r on the other hand maybe it would work because a lot more interested buyers would be out there that would actually try to get it legit.

^ agreed! S13 and S14 rhd swaps, if done right, are the exact same as an imported one...just not on paper. if it were an S15, skyline, ect....that would bring more interest. other then that, i would say its not really worth it right now. to many people are loosing their cars to the feds. wait till its legal to bring them in hah

I'm glad I live in canada where we can import RHD without having to swap Vin's. I drive my Pulsar GTiR every day!

That's great and all but not sure it makes up for having to live in Canada. Jk

Sorry, I wasn't sure how to put the pics directly into the post. When using imgur.com do you just copy and paste the entire text in the HTML image box?

I can get more pics as well, just need to find my camera!
