So wait I'm confused...did you find the blown fuse in the kick panel?

yea, all you did was blow a fuse. Which is located in the kick panel. (Little fuse box under dash on the left side.)

If you replaced that fuse under there (should be a 10 amp fuse if I remember) and its still blowing, you have a short somewhere in that circuit. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT put a higher amped fuse in there cuz you will only make your issue worst.

Start off by finding a wiring diagram for the circuit. Take the fuse out and figure out which side of the fuse connector is grounding out.
I troubleshot my S14 short somewhere between the fuse to the back of the gauge cluster. The wire that was powering up my gauge signal was grounding out somewhere behind the dash. I snipped it and run another 12v source to the wire and fixed the problem ghettoly.

Had a similar issue but it was only the tails that were going. We narrowed it the short to be somewhere behind the driver seat but couldn't find it. As a quick fix before a event we just wired in a switch and ran a + line from the rear mounted battery. Still haven't found it so it looks like new wiring might be required.
