I just installed my Walbro 255 pump and when I tried starting it after the install, the car wouldn't start. I checked fuses and found my 7.5A EGI fuse under the hood was blown. I put in a new one and now the car still won't start and when I remove the key, all of the dash lights stay on and I an still put the windows up and down.

If I remove the EGI fuse with the key in the ON position, the dash lights go out.

Im confused. Any ideas?

Sounds like maybe some wires melted and fused together. I would check the EGI wire all the way back and see if it comes into contact with a 12V constant source. Check the harness by the driver side wheel well too.

Checked the harness by drivers side front wheel, it's fine. My car isn't lowered so there has been no rubbing to the wheel well molding. The bottom of the EGI fuse has a think white wire which comes from the 100A circuit breaker, and the other sire is a think red wire with silver dots on it. I traced that red wire to the big SMJ connectors under the drivers side dash. I saw no signs of damage to it at all.

What the car is doing now, is I turn the key to ON and I can hear the fuel pump turn on, so I try and crank it but it wont start. It turns over, but doesn't start. When I turn the key back off, all the warning lights stay illuminated on the dash. I have to either disconnect the battery cable or remove the EGI fuse for the lights to turn off.

Who wants a free 240? I'm about to push this thing off a cliff. How does something like this happen from just installing a new fuel pump :wtf:

Oh if anyone has a link to a wiring diagram i would appreciate it. I have the online FSM from nicoclub, but I can't find the fuse box wiring diagram anywhere in it.

Switched out my ECU to my old Auto. ECU and wouldn't you know it. Everything is fine =)

Problem #2 now is that I think my starter went out. I turn the key to start and only get a click from the starter.
