so it turns out my distributor has gone bad in my ka24e. a new one will run me right around $200 which i cant afford right now and honestly i would just go DOHC or something for a little bit more $$.

my question is as long as i stick to SOHC, can i use any KA dizzy for a replacement? i can get used ones from the junkyard from the nissan hardbody or stanza. i know the stanza is fwd but im hoping the basic design is the same.

any help is greatly appreciated. ive been searching but couldnt find anything so im sorry if im Noobing hard right now.

thanks guys.

yes, way to be a dick...

OP, i couldnt tell ya, but if no one gets back to you, try cross referencing nissan parts numbers or calling a dealer to do it, and figure it out that way

its a pain in the ass cause i dont have internet right now so i only get to use it sporadically.

i was gonna download the FSM so i could look at it and see what it might say.

looking on autzone websites it looks like the nissan pickup, stanza, and the 240 all share the same part number for distributor. only thing is they are either a hitachi( Part Number: 31-1024)
or a mitsubishi ( Part Number: 31-1022)
model and i dont have the car here to find out which i need. i did find a distributor for the pickup and a stanza locally though for under $50. im gonna keep looking and see what i find.
