Ok so when i finished my auto to 5 spd swap on sunday i had a CEL, never had one when it was a auto.

It is a 95 im using a s13 trans, CAS is bolted up and plugged in.
Anybody can help? im also using a 96 manual ecu
Also the car runs fine nothing messing up
i thought because my O/D light was blinking when i first start it up, i didnt wire anything up besides the reverse lights

so i went to autozone and got these codes.

P0325 - Knock Sensor
P0110 - Intake Air Temp Sensor
P1441 - Manufac Control
P0335 - Crank Position Sensor
P0105 - MAP/BARO Circuit Malfunt
P0433 - Evap Purge Control Valve
P0446 - Evap Vent Control
P0135 - o2 Sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
P0705 - Trans Range Sensor
P1445 - Evap canister purge
P1105 - MAP Sensor/Baro Sensor Switching valve

i'm not certain, but isn't the 96 manual ecu for obd2 cars and your 95 is obd1.

it may be throwing a CEL since certain obd2 sensors aren't there with you s13 tranny? maybe someone can shed some light on this?

You're wrong. 95 and under are obd1. 96 and on is obd2.

If you want to get into the argument of why the 95 has an obd2 harness.. it's just that. It's a harness. So you can hook up a scanner to it but it doesn't have all the monitors that obd2 has. OBD1 ecu and OBD2 ecu are not compatible.

Actually, 1995 were OBDI still. OBD2 didnt get federally regulated till a certain time in 1996, 1997s were the first OBD2 full complaint 240sx.

go call a nissan dealership.

And they'll mimic the JWT website. 95-96 are 'obd1.5' in forum terms. They also utilize different pinouts from 94 OBD1 stuff.

Telling you, 95 is OBD1. 96 is the fucking bastard child of the S14s just cuz nissan couldnt figure out what the hell they're gonna do with the OBD1 or 2 bullshit. Hit me up later tonite if you want and you can try my 95 ECU to see if the codes will go away.

Not sure which guide you used for the swap but according to this, 95 and 96 might be year specific ECU wise.
"ECU Swapping:

In order to get rid of the CEL (which would have prevented the car from passing OBDII testing when the car is inspected), a Manual ECU was used. Once the new ECU was installed, there was no CEL and no more rough starts – the car behaves exactly the same as a stick shift that came out of the factory. The Manual ECU can be used with the automatic transmission wiring harness.

If your car is a ’95 the new ECU must be from a ’95 (maybe 96?)

If your car is a ’96 the new ECU must be from a ’96 (maybe 95?)

If your car is a 97-98, the new ECU must be from a 97-98, or you can re-pin a 95-96 ECU to work in a 97-98 240sx (which is what we did on Matt’s car). In order to re-pin it, follow the link here:"
