hey ive been wondering the best way to go for my rb25 short block build. Ive known for sometime the 26 crank can be used, but is it worth the small gains?

For someone who really knows are there torque gains to be had? I am doing no overboring i want the block to retain some meat.

Im looking to put down between 500 - 600 whp.

For your power goals you would be fine with the 25 crank, just make sure you install the extended crank collar. I personally went with the 26 crank, just cause by the time you buy the collar and have it installed your almost half way to what a 26 crank would cost.

I can't help with specific information, but this forum is a huge help with my research for the rb25 swap I'm planning.

Yea, i think the rb26 is worth it. Which main bearings did you use jk26? rb25 main bearings or 26 main bearings?

POSmiata, ive been driving my stock 25 for some time now.

I may be able to help with a N1 Crank if you are interested.

Or i have a R32 Rb26 short block with scored cylinder walls.

Also have a RB25 long block with built components.
But the ring lands are cracked on 2 pistons
and block will need an over bore with new pistons.

Let me know if youre interested.

Im using all rb26 internals, r33 crank, wiseco pistons, and eagle rods. So im probably gonna go with the 26 bearings. Also make sure if you get a 26 crank you get models r33 and above, r32 still needs crank collar install
