Removing s14 doorhandles

My friend and I are painting a s14 this weekend, but we are having huge problems removing the doorhandles. We've loosened both the screws as well as detached all the rods. It's loose, but it will not come out. Any suggestions? Please! :)

you have to angle it up if i remember right. i had a hard time doing the same thing. just be carful. and good luck.

Ok, thanks. He managed to remove them while I sat down at the computer, so now it's all good :)
