so im trying to figure out the best spot to put my oil filter. i got the circuit sports oil filter relocation kit for my s14 sr20det in my s13 coupe. just would like to see pics of what you guys have done.
i have seen some of people putting theirs straight up but then i would think oil would go everywhere when you change the oil.
so let me see what you got thanks

It wouldn't get everywhere cause it'll drain down when you open the drain plug. Still I think this will be interesting

It would be nice to see some clean relocations I agree. I might get some ideas...

Have you tried the engine bay thread?

i tried looking through lots of pics on that thread not the whole thing yet and after thinking about it the oil would drain down and not spill out when you take the filter off but lets see what you guys did

Mine's on the frame rail on the passenger side behind the engine mount. I don't have any pics because you probably can't really see anything. I might give it a shot if someone really wants to see it. I haven't changed the oil yet but it should be a fairly clean process, at least cleaner than the stock location draining all over the engine mount and subframe.

I moved mine in a place to avoid oil dripping down on everything as well, though its not a standard kit and not on a SR.

Oil wont spill out when you unscrew it because gravity would do its job. Much easier and cleaner this way. I know the current v6 tacomas have it like that as well.

What's the problem with that?
I'm glad I didn't get a relocation kit for my s13 Sr. Got a Freddy manifold so its hella easy to get to now.
Have it like the majority have it. Gravity will do its job.

they chafe, come appart and chew at whatever they come in contact with
I'd prefer to have them sleeved or secured to keep them from moving

How in the hell do you chafe steel braided lines?
They do burn into everything.they touch. Part of my return line on my turbo is burnt into my t25s compressor housing. Lol
