Ok everyone, im having a little trouble getting my swap to start up.
I swapped in a remanufactured crate s14 DOHC motor with only 15k miles into my 89 coupe.
Im pretty sure i swapped everything i needed to ie, harness, intake mani, ecu, dizzy etc.
Well when i had most of the shit in and was just wrapping up the motor and putting in the cai and radiator, i forgot to bolt the large ground wire to the alternator. I didnt really think anything about it, so when i was putting in the battery, when i hooked it up it sparked really bad. So i tried it again and it kinda sparked and then bammmmmmmm! no spark at all. Now when i hit the wire on the terminal it doesnt even spark. So i hooked up the large ground to the alter. Wrapped everything up and tried to start it. The engine turns over but doesnt start up. I checked the plugs and they have no spark. Replaced the coil, distributor cap, and button. Even tested the wires and plugs on my friends car and shocked the shit outa my hand haha.
Anyways everyone ive talked to thinks it is the ecu and maybe i shorted it out. This is my first engine swap so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
