Hi im new here and new to the nissan world so i will try to not come off as too much of a noob. Im having problem with my hks bov not working. Im getting compressor surge. Right now my wastegate is running by itself to the top right port on throttle body. On the top left i have the boost gauge, fpr, and bov all on the same. Ive gone as far as taping into my hotpipe right after the turbo before the bov and running the bov on the top right port and still surges. Ive also just replaced the bov thinking it was bad and still the same problem. Please help. Thanks

I normally run the BOV on the top right, wastegate should be closer to the turbo, mine is right off the neck of the hotpipe.
Top left should be gauge/fpr.

you are correct kind sir!
its possible that the bov is bad. try changing the lines around ( i dont think that will fix your problem though)
my friend has a brand new ssqv black edition and it does the same thing. maybe take it apart and check everything.
i jsut posted a thread about BOV's if you have the money try going with a synapse bov. they never fail i think its less than 200$
is your bov new?
does your car stall or die when coming to a stop? boost leaks of any sort?
i had a bad turbo gasket before and that caused my ssqv to flutter, BUT dont assume that is your problem because its not fun to change the gaskets haha just trying to help you out =]
if you have a compressor try pressure testing the bov too , that might help you trouble shoot a bad bov.

Top left I have dedicated to FPR only. Top right is BOV only. Then on my hotpipe I have a source that goes to the wastegate. Having BOV/FPR/Gauge all on the same source is a big no-no.

Both bov`s i had were bad. I bought a brand new one and it didnt work. Took one off a buddys car and it worked. Made no sense to me how a new one was bad out of the box but ohwell. So i will need to find one that works before i buy it lol. Thanks to all replys.
