ey anyone from austin tx? i'll be over there for 4 weeks. business trip.. except for all the weekends i'll be flying back to LA. but anyone out there that can show me around? what is there to do in austin on the weekdays?

Austin is the ish. There's something going on 24/7 on 6th Street. I haven't beend down in forever, but it's always a good time.

it's effing great! i love this city. go to 6th. be sure to check out the campus and EINSTEIN'S ARCARDE! every game is like 50 cents and under. even wangan midnight and ferrari challenge. check it out

I don't have a license yet, so I can't show you around, but austin360.com is good for finding what's going on everynight around town and sixth street.

If I get accepted there and they offer me the aid I will probably be there next year. Also looking at university of houston.

thanks al... hope i'll be in town for the dec 5 event.
well.. i'm hoping someone can show me the drift scene in austin if there is one. otherwise.. some bars and stuff would be a good alternative.

UH sucks, don't go there. UT is a good school, and it rests in a great town. Sometimes I wish I had gone there instead of A&M, but I am glad I didn't because I wouldn't have my S13 if I went to UT.

I don't think there is much of a drift scene in Austin, but there is a lively one here in College Station. There are about 8 240 guys that hang out on a somewhat regular basis, but 3 of us hang out a lot. CS has good cars considering the size of the town. We got 2 SR 240's fixin to have 2 KA-T's, couple of TT supras and one single, and even a T88 383 camaro :)
