One of the rubber hoses from the sender to the hardline burst last night right when i got home.

I am trying to replace it now and it almost seems like I might have to drop the whole tank down to get to were it connects to the hardline.

anyone ever have to replace just these? is it possible to do it without dropping the whole tank, it seems like I won't be able to get to the hardline side from the top...

plus all my tools are at work... :duh:

It is def a million times easier to replace those rubber lines with the tank out. However, it's NOT impossible to do with the tank still in the car.

It's definitely possible with the tank still mounted. Pop open that access panel in your trunk so you can reach the top of the tank where the hoses connect.

If you need a little more room to work too, you can unbolt the 6 bolts on the fuel sender unit and it'll move a bit, maybe 2-3" around the top of the tank so you have a little more room to work.

If you do that though, make sure you replace the giant O ring.
